RYE CREW TEAM ARE US SCHOLASTIC NATIONAL CHAMPIONS – MyRye.com

“The Rye High School Crew are now US Scholastic National Champions.

The team competed at SRAA Championships (Scholastic Rowing Association of America), which is made up of qualifying crews from High Schools around the US, this past Friday and Saturday in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Men’s Ltwt 4+: Zach Szabo (cox), Jack Hartman, Jimmy Cronin, Tim-Rudolph-Math, John Dailey was first in time trials and semi-finals, and advanced to finals to win the championship!

It is a great achievement for Rye High School and a nice way to celebrate the ten year anniversary of Rye HS Crew.” – more

 

NYS GARNERS 21 MEDALS AT SCHOLASTIC ROWING ASSOCIATION NATIONALS – New York State Rowing

The Rye High School Lightweight 4+ earned one of 6 gold medals won by New York State athletes at the SRAA Nationals.

“Records fell in Pennsauken, New Jersey on the Cooper River over the weekend as New York State Scholastic Rowing Association had one of its best years ever at the Scholastic Rowing Association of America national championship regatta.

New York State garnered 21 medals, the largest total amount in the past five years, including sending 31 boats into the championship finals.” – more
